Where have i been?

Nowhere, actually!

Well, nowhere besides the usual places i frequent that is. I’ve slowly been plugging away at Underhand and a couple of other projects in my spare time where i can.

One of those projects are a series of posts about the Homelab I’ve been running for a good number of years now, Homelabbing being a subject that appears to be quite popular at the moment especially on YouTube and Reddit.

At the moment, i have the bare bones of a handful of posts covering a number of topics:

  • What OS should you choose?
  • Deployment Options (Virtualisation, Bare Metal, Cloud, etc)
  • Hardware Options (Mini-PC, Raspberry Pi, etc)
  • Price Considerations
  • Why Self-Host at all?
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • DNS and Networking
  • Monitoring
  • Maintenance
  • Backup
  • Security

These posts would be relatively long as i have a habit of speaking at length about things i enjoy, but I will still explain what I’m doing and how in as concise a manner as possible, so people can follow along should they choose.

I do hope that you’re as excited as i am about sharing the particularly fun hobby that is Homelabbing with you.
